I am halfway through my Orangetheory Transformation Challenge!
I have completed my 4th week and 12th class (I took 8 days off for vacation in mid-July), and have four weeks to go. I anticipate going to about 15 more classes before it's all said and done. Remember, the rules state that I have to attend at least three classes per week for 6 of the 8 weeks. I also decided that I won't be changing my diet at all for this challenge.
Here are my results so far (Halfway through...4 weeks in):
Weight is DOWN from 207.8 to 202.8
BMI is DOWN from 29.2 to 28.1
Body Fat is DOWN from 31.1% to 28.5%
Muscle is UP from 32.4% to 33.8%
Body Age is DOWN from 62 to 59
I'm in my fifties!!!
Most classes are 60 minutes long and I typically burn between 700-850 calories, but I recently took a 90 minute class and ended up burning 1143 calories! I'm proud of that one, but for now I'll be sticking to the 60 minute classes.
When you're on the treadmills, you choose your level. You can be a power walker, jogger, or runner. For the first two classes I was at the power walker level (though I've been pretty active in the past, I had not been at all in recent months). I made it up to being a jogger for the next 9 classes, and was excited to bump it up to being a "runner" for my last class. I put runner in parenthesis, because I am definitely not a runner, but my cardio has definitely improved.
