Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a burglary of a laundry room in the 8200 block of Nolte Avenue in Silver Spring that occurred on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Detectives have released surveillance video of the suspect are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives determined that approximately 7:06 a.m., the unknown male suspect entered a laundry room in the basement of a secured access apartment building. He then broke the washing machine and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the coin slot. Detectives reviewed surveillance video and obtained a description of the suspect. The suspect is described as a Black male, wearing a white headscarf, white t-shirt and blue jeans.
Detectives are asking for anyone with information regarding this crime or the suspect involved to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Callers may remain anonymous.
