One of the first Hotpot spots in MoCo has closed permanently.
Riverside Hotpot, located in the Muddy Branch Shopping Center in Gaithersburg, opened in January of 2014. It was the first American location of the Chongqing-based chain that has over 20 locations in China.
After five and a half years, owners decided to close the Gaithersburg location. Riverside still has a location in nearby Fairfax if the newer Hotpot restaurants aren’t doing it for you.
Don’t worry Gaithersburg, George’s Hotpot & BBQ is coming soon to the Diamond Square Shopping Center.
