Rock Hill Orchard & Woodbourne Creamery on Maryland’s 2020 Ice Cream Trail
The Creamery, located in Mt. Airy, is MoCo’s sole cow-to-cone establishment, though the Creamery is only selling ice cream in cups during the pandemic. Visitors can often see the cows whose milk produces their ice cream. They are the only remaining MoCo dairy that sells milk directly to the public.
Rock Hill also hosts a farm market with milk, fruits, vegetables, and pies. Additionally, they sell their products at the Bethesda Central Farm Market and at Butchers Alley in Bethesda, and they hold a Germantown milk pickup.
Moorenko’s Ice Cream, located near Downtown Silver Spring, is also recognized in the Ice Cream Lovers’ Guide to Maryland.
Maryland’s Ice Cream Trail is curated by the Maryland Department of Agriculture. The list started eight years ago and is renewed annually.
