Rockville Little Theatre (RLT) Wins Big at ESTA

Rockville Little Theatre (RLT) has announced that their production of “Pride@Prejudice” by Daniel Elihu Kramer was selected Outstanding Production at ESTA (Eastern States Theatre Association) on Sat., April 15 at the Tatnall School in Wilmington, Delaware. Participating states included New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland). “Pride@Prejudice” received several other accolades as well:

– Outstanding Achievement in Ensemble Acting – Niranjali Amerasinghe, Lena Winter, Meghan Williams Elkins, Ian Swank and Joseph Coracle

– Outstanding Achievement in Set Design – Bill Pressly

– Outstanding Achievement in Costuming – Jennifer Georgia 

– Outstanding Achievement in Hair Design – Maureen Roult

– Outstanding Achievement in Acting – Joseph Coracle

– Outstanding Achievement in Directing – Laura W. Andruski

Per the press release: RLT will take Pride@Prejudice next to the National AACT Festival June 12–17, to be performed June 14 in the evening time slot at the Kentucky Performing Arts Center in Louisville. “Pride@Prejudice” was originally produced January 27 – February 5, 2023 at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville, MD.  The company then submitted a 50-minute cutting of the production for entry into the Maryland State Theatre Festival held February 11-12, 2023 in La Plata, MD.  The Maryland State win allowed RLT to move forward to ESTA (Eastern States Theatre Association) to compete.  ESTA is sponsored, in part, by the American Association of Community Theatres (AACT).

RLT is a proud member of the American Association of Community Theatres.  Founded in 1986, AACT is a nonprofit corporation that serves both individuals and organizations by providing expertise, assistance and support so that community theatres can provide the best possible theatrical experience for participants and audience alike (https://aact.org/) .

Currently celebrating its 75th anniversary season, Rockville Little Theater (RLT) was founded in 1948 and is the oldest continuously operating live 501(c)3 nonprofit theatre in the Rockville area. RLT provides high quality performances at reasonable prices. We strive to entertain, enlighten and educate all who attend our theatrical events. Bethesda Film Fest

The 2024 Bethesda Film Fest will feature five short documentary films made by filmmakers from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Screenings will be held Friday April 5 and Saturday April 6 at Landmark Bethesda Row Cinema.
