Rockville Police Responds to Calls for Shots Fired Tuesday Afternoon

The Rockville City Police Department released a statement about responding to multiple calls for shots fired on the 700 block of Monroe Street at the Fireside Apartments.

Below is the full statement:

“At 3:45 p.m. RCPD units responded to the 700 block of Monroe Street, the Fireside Apartments, for multiple calls for shots fired. Upon arrival police found evidence of multiple apartment buildings having sustained gun fire. No injuries have been reported.

At this time there is a heavy police presence in the area as officers are speaking with witnesses and gathering additional evidence.
