Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream Celebrates Grand Opening Weekend

Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream celebrates the grand opening weekend of its second local shop in Bethesda’s Wildwood Shopping Center.

Starting Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 11, the locally owned shop will offer special promotions and giveaway contests. The 1,100-square-foot store, featuring small batch, locally sourced ice cream made with all-natural ingredients, is located between Le Pain Quotidien and Wildwood Family Cleaners at 10219 Old Georgetown Road.

The store hours will be 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sundays – Thursdays.  and safety measures will be in place to protect both employees and customers including hand sanitizers, sneeze guards, mandatory masks, limited number of people inside for social distancing, and gloves which will be worn to serve the ice cream.

Promotions and Contests planned during the Grand Opening weekend include:

  • Sarah’s will offer a complementary 12-flavor sampler box for all online orders of $25 or more
  • All orders (in person and online) will receive a “Buy 1 Scoop, Get 1 Free” coupon to be used at a later date
  • 20 Instagram contest winners (tag @SarahsHandmadeIceCream and use hashtag #SarahsHandmade) will receive free scoops and/or 12-flavor sampler box

Bethesda Film Fest

The 2024 Bethesda Film Fest will feature five short documentary films made by filmmakers from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Screenings will be held Friday April 5 and Saturday April 6 at Landmark Bethesda Row Cinema.
