The condos at Plymouth Woods, 872 College Parkway near Nelson Street Rockville, were evacuated on Tuesday morning after an underground water main break led to flooding in the garden style condos.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue was onnthe scene soon after being alerted and helped with the evacuation process, which required buses for transport to temporary shelter, according to MCFRS PIO Pete Piringer.
Seven families were displaced after the structure of the building was compromised and deemed unsafe. Several others in surrounding buildings will be impacted due to the water shut-off.
