Shoppers to Close/Sell Off All Locations

Last week the Washington Business Journal reported that Shoppers will be closing all of their locations.

According to the article, Shoppers parent company, United Natural Foods Inc., expects to have finished selling off all stores within months.

There are MoCo locations in Germantown, Kensington, Takoma Park, and Wheaton (Glenmont).

The article mentions that locations are not expected to close suddenly, but that the company is “aggressively looking to sell locations.”

There’s still no news on which locations will be bought out by other grocery stores, but once there is we will be sure to have updates.
