Silver Spring Man Charged with Indecent Exposure, Possibility of Additional Victims a Concern

For Immediate Release: Friday, March 25, 2022

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 6th District Investigative Section have arrested and charged 28-year-old Steven Jarezz Adams of Silver Spring, with indecent exposure. Detectives have released a photo of Adams and encourage anyone who may be a victim of indecent exposure by Adams to come forward.

Since November 2021, detectives have been investigating a series of complaints regarding an individual looking into ground floor apartment windows and sliding glass doors in the Washington Square neighborhood in Gaithersburg. During an incident in November 2021, Adams exposed himself to a female victim inside a laundry room of an apartment building in Gaithersburg.

Throughout the course of the investigation, Adams was identified as a suspect who possibly committed these crimes at several locations in Gaithersburg. Probable cause was developed to charge Adams with indecent exposure via an arrest warrant. Detectives also determined that there was an active arrest warrant against Adams for failure to appear in court for a first-degree burglary offense.

On March 16, 2022, Adams was arrested in the area of Washington Grove Lane and Morning View Drive in Gaithersburg. Adams was transported to the Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.

Based on the above incidents, detectives believe that there may be additional victims of indecent exposure by Steven Jarezz Adams that have not contacted police.  Detectives are urging anyone who believes to be a victim to contact the 6th District Investigative Section at 240-773-5770 or contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous.
