South House Garden is Coming to Olde Towne Gaithersburg.
According to a sponsored post on Facebook, South House Garden is a beer garden, southern eatery and sports bar combined. It will offer games like pool, beer pong, darts, and live music.
We received many questions about if the new restaurant will be taking over the former Growlers location, but we confirmed with Sardi’s that their new concept, Selva, is still coming to that location (227 E Diamond Ave). No opening date has been provided.
South House Garden will be located at Granary Row, 317 E Diamond Ave, in Olde Towne Gaithersburg. It will be coming soon.

I will believe both of these things when I see them, but not holding my breath. There does not seem to be anything happening at the Growler’s and everything that opens at Granary dies a quick death. Don’t get me wrong…I would love to see some additional restaurant alternatives in Old Town.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t the previous tenant a creation of a Silver Spring pizza restaurant? The name escapes me.
