Special Weather Statement Issued for Monday Morning
The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement regarding a potential winter commuting hazard Monday morning.
According to the statement, there is potential for hazardous commuting conditions on Monday morning.
There is a 40% chance of a period of snow during the morning rush that could bring up to an inch or accumulation onto area roads. If this threat does materialize, many roads could quickly turn icy during the morning commute.
The National Weather Service advises everyone to be away of the possibility of significant travel disruptions.
The expected snowfall map has a little more than half of MoCo in the 1-2” range with the remaining parts getting less than an inch.
The high end amount (10% chance) has about 1/3 of MoCo getting 2 inches with the remaining 2/3 getting an inch.
The low end amount (10% chance, not pictured) shows almost no snow for our area.
