I’m not a golf guy, so I was a bit hesitant to attend when I heard about yesterday’s “par-tee” at Northwest golf course on Layhill Road.
It was awesome…and free! Though the day started out rainy, everything had cleared up and dried out by the 6pm start time (I didn’t get there until
about 7:45). It ran until 11pm.
The “par-tee” had a live DJ, free games (corn hole, giant Connect 4 and giant Jenga), a food truck, ice cream stand, putting and driving range competitions, a cash bar, and an overall great vibe.
Half price buckets for the driving range for anyone that wants to work on their swing.
Night time putting competitions with neon golf balls and a spotlight.
