Montgomery Parks and Park Police will be holding free monthly outdoor movies nights at various Montgomery County parks through September.

Join Montgomery Parks in the evenings for our upcoming Movies in the Parks and watch your favorite films under the stars.

Bring along your blankets or lawn chairs and favorite snacks to lounge under the night sky and watch a movie on our 40-foot inflatable screen!

Movies in the Parks is FREE, and there is no registration required. Bring your friends and family to the parks to enjoy the outdoor screeningsCheck out the showtimes and details below to plan your movie night!

Friday, July 23, 2021 | Remember the Titans | Jesup Blair Local Park | Seating begins at 8:00 PM

  • The movie will be shown on the sports field behind the historic building.
  • Free parking will be available on-site at Jesup Blair Local Park as well as across the street at Montgomery Community College in the East Garage on Jesup Blair Drive.

For these Friday night showings, Montgomery Parks is partnering with our very own Park Police! They will be helping Park Staff set up Movies in the Parks and will remain on-site throughout the evening to hang out with community members and keep the event safe. Officers will be there on horseback to show off their trusted animal companions and will be bringing a police vehicle to offer tours to interested movie-goers. See a note from their Chief, Darryl W. Event Guidelines and Information:

  • The first 50 attendees to stop by the Montgomery Parks table will receive a free picnic blanket! Look out for the blue flags, and come say hi!
  • All Parks Rules and Regulations are in effect for Movies in the Parks.
  • Free parking will be available at all movie sites.
  • Restrooms will be available at all movie sites.
  • All glass containers (bottles, to-go containers, etc) are prohibited and staff and volunteers will remind guests of this as they
  • Dogs are not allowed at the event.
  • Grills and any other items that have an open flame are not allowed at the event.
  • For your Movies in the Parks packing list:
    • The movies will be shown on the grass, so please bring blankets, towels, or lawn chairs to set up your comfy spot! Tents, hammocks, and any items that may obstruct a movie-goer’s view of the screen are prohibited.
    • Bring your favorite movie night snacks and drinks to the event. Check back here for more information about the concessions that will be offered each movie night!
    • Make sure to bring bug spray to keep away those pesky mosquitoes.
    • Bring a flashlight with you to help light the way when packing up your things at the end of the event.

Bethesda Film Fest

The 2024 Bethesda Film Fest will feature five short documentary films made by filmmakers from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Screenings will be held Friday April 5 and Saturday April 6 at Landmark Bethesda Row Cinema.
