“Keep an eye out for new parking meters on Carroll Ave” says the City of Takoma Park.
Three new parking meters will be installed in front of 6940 Carroll Ave, across from CVS, where previously there were none. The installation will occur as soon as ordered materials arrive, according to a news release from earlier this week.
The new meters will help turnover parking spots more frequently in support of nearby businesses. The zone will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Rates for the meters will be consistent with other City meters in the area, currently $0.75 per hour.

The Takoma Park Police Department is responsible for parking enforcement within the City of Takoma Park. The City of Takoma Park does not enforce parking regulations on private property, with the exception of fire lane and handicapped parking enforcement in private parking lots.
