'Takoma Park Police are actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at approximately 5:47 pm on April 22, 2022 in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland. Officers responded for the report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injury. This is an active and on-going investigation.
