Taste MoCo’s Best Pizza in MoCo: Final Four
What better way to bring in the New Year than to vote for your finalists in the Taste MoCo’s Best Pizza in MoCo tournament?
These tournaments are a fun way to shine a little light on local restaurants. We urge you to support your favorites and consider refraining from badmouthing any restaurant.
Voting takes place in the @TasteMoCo Instagram story, and each round lasts for 24 hours. The result of every matchup can be found in the “Best Pizza” highlight.
To answer any variation of “Why isn’t _____ in the tournament?” We included every restaurant that was nominated on our social media in the five days prior to the start of the tournament and we did not include any restaurants that have more locations outside of MoCo than in (unless the first location was in MoCo).
Continental vs. Stained Glass Pub
Continental offers Maryland style pizza and has been serving Kensington since 1967 (cash only). Stained Glass Pub has been in Glenmont, also serving Maryland Style pizza, since 1973.
Giuseppi’s vs. Armand’s
Currently Giuseppi’s has two MoCo locations (Rockville and Gaithersburg) and has been around for over 30 years. Armand’s is a once-mighty regional chain that is down to 2 location– one being in Rockville. They offer a variation of Chicago-style pizza.
