The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair Opens Today

After COVID caused last year’s fair to be cancelled for the first time in it’s 70 plus year history, the Montgomery County Fair returns today, August 13th at 3PM and will run through Saturday, August 21st.

The third annual Fair Foodie Awards will take place tonight at 6pm at the seating tent across from the Fair’s souvenir booth and MoCoShow’s own Alex T will be one of the special judges for the event. Categories include Best Taste and Most Creative for entrees, desserts, and drinks!

Tickets are available here and don’t forget, children 11 and under are free everyday. Family Day is on Wednesday August 18th where Carnival Megapass one-day ride wristbands are only $20 for all ages and you can ride until 11 PM!

• Friday, August 13th, 3 pm-midnight
• Saturday, August 14th, 10 am – midnight
• Sunday, August 15th – Thursday, August 19th, 10 am to 11 pm
• Friday, August 20 – Saturday, August 21st, 10 am – midnight

Carnival hours of operation:
• Friday, August 13th, 3:00 pm – midnight
• Saturday, August 14th noon – midnight
• Sunday, August 15th – Thursday, August 19th noon to 11 pm
• Friday, August 20 – Saturday, August 21st, noon-midnight

MASK POLICY:
Effective August 7, 2021, the Montgomery County Council has instituted an indoor face mask requirement for everyone over 2 years of age regardless of vaccination status. This mandate will be implemented in the following buildings on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds: Farm and Garden, Old Timers, Home Arts, Arts Crafts and Photography, 4-H, Chilly Mall, Big Cheese, Ice Cream Parlor, Heritage, all Restrooms, Birthing Center, Poultry Barn, Souvenir Building, and First Aid. Face masks are also required for those persons who are working in food preparation throughout the Fairgrounds. Face masks will be required upon entry to the free Shuttle Busses that run between Lake Forest Mall and the Fairgrounds.“

VACCINATIONS: 
Along with the carnival rides and funnel cakes, fairgoers will have an opportunity to get the COVID-19 vaccination at this year’s Montgomery County Agricultural Fair.

The vaccination site will be located next to the ticket booth at 501 Perry Parkway. There will be people there to help people to make arrangements for the second shot since it is 30 days apart and the vaccination site won’t be here. August 13 – Vaccine open for customers 3PM-9 PM  +/-
August 14 to August 21 – Vaccine site open for customers 12PM-7:00 PM
