Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will join State and local leaders, as well as community activists, today, July 20 at 12:30 p.m. to stand in opposition to the I-495/I-270 Managed Lane proposal that the Maryland Department of Transportation is presenting for a vote to the Metropolitan Washington Council of Government’s Transportation Policy Board (TPB).

The TPB is scheduled to meet and vote on the State’s plan on Wednesday, July 21 at noon. The TPB is made up of members representing jurisdictions from around the Washington Region. The TPB voted against the plan in June, and Wednesday’s vote could reverse the board’s previous decision.
