- (DATE HAS PASSED) Emancipation Day in Maryland at Sandy Spring Slave Museum (November 5, 2022, 10AM-4PM) – MCPS and the Sandy Spring Slave Museum are hosting an Emancipation Day Celebration on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon. MCPS students in grades 6-12 may earn SSL hours for attending and participating in advocacy action.

- Changemaker Workshops (November 15 and 16, 2022, 6:30PM-8PM) – Join local and student activists in a virtual changemaker workshop as they teach students and parents how to effectively challenge social justice issues and inequities in their communities.
- Students may earn 2 SSL hours for attending and actively participating in the workshop.

- Montgomery County Council Youth Town Hall(November 16, 2022, 7PM-9PM) – The Montgomery County Council will host their annual Youth Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Students will be able to participate by sharing questions live either in-person or via Zoom.
