Update: 8th Suspect Arrested After No-Knock Raid of Germantown Apartment That Lead to 7 Arrests on Various Gun and Drug Charges, Including Possession of Fentanyl With Intent to Distribute

Update: According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, an 8th defendant has been arrested in connection to the no-knock search warrant in Germantown last month. Deshawn Nelson appeared in District Court today and was ordered held without bond.
June 25th article:
Following a raid on a Germantown apartment that has been serving as a “haven for guns and drugs,” according to the State’s Attorney office, Montgomery County Police have taken seven suspects into custody. The suspects are:

• Devin Bullard (20)

• Zavier Carson-Beckwith (21)

• Marcos Cedillo (21)

• Ke-onta Goldsberry (23)

• Jaden Howard (23)

• Joshua Tuzon (18)

• Javon Walker (19)

The seven suspects are facing various gun and drug charges including the possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute. A decision was made at their hearings on Friday, in the District Court in Rockville, to hold the suspects without bond. A preliminary hearing will take place on Friday, July 22.

According to a WUSA9 report, “through the search, officers located fentanyl, cocaine, oxycodone, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, multiple handguns, and over $10,000 in cash.”

After a couple of hours of observation, along with the initial investigation, police determined that it was highly likely that the suspects inside the home would be armed. Based on this development, police, along with the assistance of SWAT, conducted a search warrant on a Crystal Rock Drive home around 10:40 p.m.

According to court records, as reported by Michael Hernandez of MyMCMedia, “police obtained a no-knock search warrant on June 22 for apartment #22 located at 19753 Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown. At approximately 9:26 p.m., officers observed Ke-onta Goldsberry exit the residence. Goldsberry opened the hood of a parked vehicle waiting for him outside, removed a handgun from his waist bank, wrapped it in what appeared to be a black cloth, placed it on the drivers side of the engine compartment, and then closed the hood, court documents say. Police followed the vehicle being driven by an individual picking up Goldsberry from the residence. Both individuals were taken into custody in the area of Montrose Road and East Jefferson Street. Police located a loaded black 9MM Glock 26 in the engine compartment of the vehicle.

At approximately 10:39 p.m., police and the Montgomery County Police SWAT Team executed a search warrant of apartment #22. Bullard attempted to leave the residence through a balcony — he later reentered the apartment, according to court documents. Police also observed a loaded handgun being thrown from a window. SWAT officials called out all six individuals and they were taken into custody without incident.”

At the residence, police located ammunition, a plastic bag containing 83 fentanyl pills disguised as Oxycodone Hydrochloride, suspected marijuana, more than $10,000 divided into 2 stacks, and loaded handguns.
