New Burger Concept, Frank Burger’s Place, Coming to Wheaton

Last November we told you about Frank’s Burger Place, a new burger concept coming to 11265 Triangle Lane in Wheaton.

Frank’s originally planned to open in December but the process has taken much longer due to the pandemic and the wait for permits.  They are now hopeful to have the restaurant open sometime in May.

Owner Chef Pedro Matamoros told us that he wants to bring a fresh and local burger place to the area that doesn’t cost a fortune.  “We don’t want to charge $15 for a burger like the other places.”

Frank’s Burger Place is a family run business. Pedro’s two sons (pictured above) will be working at the location and the restaurant is named Frank’s after Pedro’s father, who has been an inspiration to him when it comes to his love of food.

Frank’s will get all of its fresh beef from Maryland butcheries. The menu will also include hand cut fries, homemade ketchup, turkey burgers, veggie burgers, sliders, hot dogs, milkshakes and several beers on tap from local breweries. “Quality ingredients executed right,” said Matamoros.

Pedro has been a resident of Silver Spring for the past 39 years and during that time has worked for several area restaurants, including The Tabard Inn, Barrel and Crow, and 8407 Kitchen Bar.

We will let you know as soon as we hear of an opening date.
