Update On Yard House Taking Over The Macaroni Grill Location In Rio

In November, we broke the news of Yard House working towards taking over the old Macaroni Grill location in Rio.

An amendment to the site plan was recently approved by the Gaithersburg Planning Commission. On February 21st the Planning Commission will vote on the final site plan.

Yard House has had meetings with staff regarding permits, but have not yet filed for them. Once they have their permits they will be able to start with the building demo and construction.

It looks like Yard House may not be ready in Gaithersburg until late 2018 or even 2019, but I’m happy to see that it is slowly making some progress.
