Week 3: The MoCoShow High School Football Top 10

1. Quince Orchard 3-0 (LW 1)

The Cougars earned their 3nd straight shutout of the season, handing Walter Johnson their 1st loss of the season 42-0. QB Savan Briggs was a perfect 9 out 9 passing for 92 yds and 1 TD.  QO’s biggest test to date is up next as Damascus visits the Cougardome.

2. Seneca Valley 3-0 (LW 2)

The Sreamin’ Eagles are flying high after defeating Richard Montgormery 56-12.  Seneca will look to remain undefeated as Whitman travels to Germantown.

3.   Damascus 3-0 (LW 3)

The Swarmin’ Hornets blanked Kennedy 42-0.  Up next a trip to Quince Orchard in the MoCoShow Game of the Week.

4. Northwest 1-2 (LW 4)

The Jaguars were up 14-0 vs Gaithersburg before the game was called due to an on-field altercation.  Northwest will forfeit this week’s game vs  Richard Montgomery

5. Paint Branch 2-1 (LW 5)

The Panthers got back into the win column with a 53-15 win over Springbrook. Travon Jackson was 14 out of 17 for 183 yds & 2 TDs.  Paint Branch will travel to Silver Spring to take on Blair next.

6. Blair 3-0 (LW 6)

The Blazers beat Northwood 45-0.  QB Kendall Anderson had 136 yds of total offense and 3 TDs. Blair will host Paint Branch next in a huge matchup.

7. Sherwood  2-1  (LW 9)

The Warriors prayers were answered as QB Amari Allen connected with Markel King on a 48yd TD pass as time expired to beat Blake 27-21.  Overall Allen threw for 208 yds and 2 TDs.  Sherwood will travel to Kensington to take on Einstein next.

8. Walter Johnson 2-1 (LW 7)

The Wildcats took their 1st loss of the season, falling to Quince Orchard 42-0.  WR Reid Wisniewski hauled in 5 receptions for 31 yds. Up next, WJ will travel to Wheaton.

9. Blake 2-1 (LW 8)

The Bengals lost a hard fought game to Sherwood on a last second Hail Mary 27-21. RB Jeremiah Seaton ran for 166 yds and 1 TD.  Blake will host Watkins Mill next.

10.  Poolesville 3-0 (NR)

The Falcons enter the top 10! RB Evan Taylor ran for 85 yds and 2 TDs in the win over Watkins Mill.  Poolesvile will host Rockville in an intriguing matchup on Friday.
