Winter Storm Warning: Saturday Afternoon Update on Sunday-Tuesday Storm
The Winter Storm Warning has been expanded to now include all of Montgomery County with total accumulations of about 4-8” expected by Tuesday morning.
What we know is that our area should see between 3-6” of snow in part 1 of this storm, starting early tomorrow morning and going into the evening.
The second part is still the mystery and our post form earlier today explains the possibilities with what we could see on Monday.
Fox 5 has updated its projected snow totals putting the northern half of the county into the 8-12” zone, with the rest of the county remaining in the 4-8” area.
The Washington Post’s Capital Weather Gang has half of MoCo in the 5-10” range and the other half in the 4-8” range with boom scenarios up to 15” and bust scenarios as low as 2” depending on your location.
The National Weather Service, our featured photo, shows all of MoCo in the 6-8” range with Damascus in the 8-12” zone.
We will have our last update before the storm begins tonight and will continue to provide updated coverage as what to expect on Monday becomes clearer.
