Winter Weather Advisory in Effect Until 10am Monday
There is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect in MoCo until 10am tomorrow morning (Monday, 2/1) with up to an inch of snow and a tenth of an inch of ice expected.
The snow totals were just below what was forecasted for today by most outlets, with much of the county getting around 2-2.5 inches.
According to ABC7, Capital Weather Gang, and the National Weather Service we could get an additional coating-2” (with boom and bust scenarios).
If we are able to get an additional 2 inches, then the lower part of most forecasts verify. If we get less, then they’re still only an inch off and not as much of a “bust” as the storm seems.
In interesting news nearby, PGCPS has announced an 2-hour early dismissal from virtual learning for tomorrow.
MCPS has announced a full day of virtual instruction and will monitor weather conditions to provide an update by 5am.
