Zayonah Jackson was last seen on Friday, May 19, 2023, at approximately 8 a.m., in the 1300 block of 1st Street.  Zayonah is approximately 4-feet, 11-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has long brown hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what clothing she was last seen wearing.

Zybreiah Jackson was last seen on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at approximately 8 a.m., also in the 1300 block of 1st Street.  Zybreiah is approximately 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. She has long brown hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what clothing she was last seen wearing.  Police and family are concerned for their welfare.


Per MCPD: At approximately 5:01 a.m., Montgomery County Department of Police 2nd District officers responded to a call for service in the middle travel lane on the ramp of Rockledge Road to check the welfare of an adult male inside of a car.

When officers arrived, they found a lone individual who they believed to be intoxicated and observed a gun on the driver’s lap. They attempted to prevent the occupant from driving away. However, he drove off, heading northbound on I-270. Officers initiated a brief pursuit and the driver crashed on I-270, south of route 28. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday, May 18, 2023, in the 9200 block of New Hampshire Avenue.  At approximately 5:20 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the location and located two adult males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The preliminary investigation has determined that unknown suspects drove into the 7-Eleven parking lot. The suspects began to shoot at two male victims who were seated in the parking lot located in the back of the convenience store. The suspects then drove out of the parking lot and headed towards Prince George’s County.


Per MCPD: The Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division is investigating the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old inside of the Wheaton Metro station on Thursday, May 18, 2023. At approximately 5:53 p.m., 4th District officers responded to the Wheaton Metro Station on Georgia Ave., for a report of a shooting that just occurred. Upon arrival, officers located Tenneson Vaughn Leslie, Jr., of Greenbelt, suffering from a gunshot wound.Leslie, Jr. was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that Leslie, Jr. was with a group of people inside of the Wheaton station. Leslie, Jr. and his associates got into an altercation with a group of other males on the escalator. The dispute between the two groups escalated and Leslie, Jr. was shot on the train platform. The suspects ran from the scene. Montgomery County and Metro Transit Police searched surrounding areas for the suspects, however no one is in custody at this time.


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Kelvin Chovett, a missing 17-year-old from Germantown.

Kelvin was last seen on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at approximately 5:52 p.m., at his residence on Mountain Lake Terrance in Germantown.  Kelvin is approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.  Police and family are concerned for his welfare.


The preliminary investigation has revealed that the school bus was turning left from East Village Avenue onto Plum Creek Drive when it was struck by a BMW traveling on East Village Avenue.  The driver and passenger of the BMW were transported to area hospitals with life-threatening injuries.  

There were six occupants on the school bus. Some occupants on the bus sustained minor injuries but none were transported to area hospitals.  


Montgomery County Police has released additional information regarding Thursday’s shooting at the Wheaton Metro station. According to MCPD, “The victim in yesterday’s Metro station shooting has died. This is now being investigated as a homicide.

At approximately 5:53 p.m., Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District officers were called to the Wheaton Metro station on Georgia Avenue, for a shooting that just occurred.  Preliminarily, there was an altercation between individuals on the escalator inside of the station. The dispute escalated and an 18-year-old male was shot on the train platform.


Montgomery County Police responded to a double shooting in Silver Spring on Thursday, May 18. According to police, “At approximately 5:20 p.m., MCPD responded to the 9200 block of New Hampshire Avenue for the report of a shooting that just occurred. Two adult male victims were transported to area hospitals. One victim was transported with non life threatening injuries. The second victim was transported in an unknown condition. No suspects are in custody at this time. This is an active and ongoing investigation.”

Montgomery County Police responded to a shooting at the Wheaton Metro station on Thursday, May 18 around 5:50pm. According to public safety reporter Cordell Pugh, the incident occurred near the escalators and there is no active shooter. Metro trains are currently not running between Silver Spring and Glenmont due to the investigation.

MCPD tweeted the following at 6:40pm: “Montgomery County Police are on scene of a shooting at the Wheaton Metro Station. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.”


Angie was last seen on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in the 11500 block of Lockwood Drive. Angie is approximately 5-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black sweatpants and black Crocs. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.
