Unclaimed $100,000 & $50,000 Winning Powerball Tickets Sold This Week in Gaithersburg; Tonight’s Powerball Jackpot Now at $1.6 Billion

Per MD Lottery: The Powerball jackpot for the Saturday, Nov. 5 drawing is now the largest in U.S. lottery history, with an estimated annuity value of $1.6 billion. The cash option is $782.4 million. At $1.6 billion, Saturday’s jackpot surpasses the $1.586 billion Powerball prize that was won in January 2016 and split between three winning tickets sold in California, Florida and Tennessee. If nobody wins the jackpot in the Nov. 5 drawing, the next drawing on Monday, Nov. 7 will carry an estimated jackpot of $1.9 billion.

The largest jackpot win in Maryland to date is the $731.1 million Powerball ticket from January 2021 in Lonaconing, Allegany County. Maryland has seen two other Powerball jackpot winning tickets: $128.8 million in December 2011 (Elkton, Cecil County) and $108.8 million in September 2011 (Abingdon, Harford County).

$20,000 Mega Millions Ticket Sold at Wheaton Exxon

The 40-year-old electrician discovered his recent win last weekend when getting coffee. “I checked the Mega Millions results as I was waiting. Then, I looked at my ticket.” The father of three didn’t react when he saw several matching numbers on his quick-pick ticket for the Oct. 28 drawing. He matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball and then doubled his prize with a 2x Megaplier.

“I put my ticket away and put it out of my mind. I didn’t want to think about it until I got home and could check the website and look more closely.” “Moe” added that he and his family enjoyed a celebration once he arrived home and confirmed his win. The family plans to dedicate the $20,000 prize to their house fund. “We hope to be moving into a new home next year,” the happy Silver Spring resident said. “Moe” joked that his recent Lottery prizes were down payments on the jackpot win he knows is in his future. “I’ll keep playing until I get all of the numbers right.” His $20,000 winning Mega Millions ticket came courtesy of Wheaton Exxon at 11310 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring.

Bowie Man Purchases $1 Million Winning Powerball Ticket at Giant While Buying Treats for Halloween

He visited Giant #310 in Bowie and bought 10 quick-pick tickets for the Oct. 29 drawing, along with Halloween treats. A caregiver for his father, the loyal Powerball player didn’t watch the drawing or even check his tickets until the next morning after learning that no one had hit the jackpot. Looking up the winning numbers, the Prince George’s County resident checked ticket after ticket for a win. “It was on the last of the 10 tickets,” said the former information technology worker. “I looked it up and this thing is saying $1 million!” He recalls thinking, “It’s wrong!” and asked his brother to take a look at the ticket.

After confirming the $1 million win, the Powerball fan said he felt a sense of relief. “I’m just thankful,” he said. The winner plans to use his prize to take care of his father and keep chasing the Powerball jackpot, which has now rolled to an estimated annuity of $1.5 billion for the Saturday, Nov. 5, drawing. The estimated cash value is $745.9 million. His lucky retailer can celebrate, too. For selling a $1 million winning Powerball ticket, the store located at 15520 Annapolis Road in Bowie receives a $2,500 bonus from the Lottery. This is the eighth second-tier Powerball prize of $2 million or $1 million won in 2022.

$100,000 & $50,000 Winning Powerball Tickets Sold in Gaithersburg; Powerball Jackpot Now at $1.5 Billion

While nobody won the estimated $1.2 billion jackpot in last night’s Powerball drawing but there were several 3rd-teir prize winning tickets sold in MoCo. A $100,000 winning ticket was sold at Steve’s Beer, Wine & Deli (12132 Darnestown Road, Gaithersburg) and a $50,000 winning ticket sold at 3 Star Beer & Wine (18524 Woodfield Road, Gaithersburg).  Last night’s winning numbers were 2, 11, 22, 35 and 60; and the Powerball was 23. The Powerball jackpot rolled again last night to an estimated annuity value of $1.5 billion for Saturday’s drawing, and in the process it generated a wave of big winners in Maryland. Although there was no jackpot winner, there were $1 million winning second-tier tickets sold in Calvert County and Baltimore City, along with three $100,000 third-tier winning tickets with Power Play and five $50,000 third-tier winning tickets. Powerball has nine prize tiers ranging from $4 up to the jackpot.

LIVE! Casinos Purchase 4,000 Tickets for Tonight’s $1.2 Billion Powerball Drawing

Live! Casinos and Hotels announced its has purchased 4,000 tickets for tonight’s Powerball drawing, 2,407 of which were purchased by Maryland Live! Casino, located at 7002 Arundel Mills Cir Ste 7777 in Hanover, MD.  If the company happens to have the winning numbers, it plans to split the winning ticket among all of its 4,000+ active employees at its three locations (Arundel Mills, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia). Tonight’s Powerball jackpot is the second highest in history and now stands at an estimated $1.2 billion with a cash option of $596.7 million.

$50,000 Winning Powerball Ticket Sold at Rockville Pike Gas Station, Powerball Jackpot Rolls to $1.2 Billion

The winning numbers to match in the Oct. 31 drawing were 13, 19, 36, 39 and 59; the Powerball was 13 and the Power Play multiplier was x3. The two $50,000 winning tickets in Maryland were sold at Congressional Sunoco located at 1469 Rockville Pike in Rockville (Montgomery County) and Giant #347 located at 10480 Campus Way in Upper Marlboro (Prince George’s County).

In addition to our two $50,000 winners, Maryland had 115,802 other winners of prizes ranging from $4 to $300 (with the x3 Power Play multiplier).

Powerball Jackpot Now at $1.2 Billion After No Winner Halloween Night; $1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold in Prince George’s County for Saturday’s Drawing

The Powerball® jackpot has climbed to an estimated $1.2 billion ($596.7 million cash) for the next drawing on Wednesday, Nov. 2. The jackpot rolled after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn Monday night – white balls 13, 19, 36, 39, 59 and red Powerball 13. If a player wins Wednesday’s jackpot, it will be the second-largest jackpot in Powerball history, only behind the world record $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot, and fourth-largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history.

Despite there being no jackpot winner in last Monday’s drawing, more than 5.4 million tickets won cash prizes totaling $59.5 million in the Halloween night drawing. Big winners include 10 tickets (CA-2, FL, IN, MI, NY, OH-2, TX-2) that matched all five white balls to win a $1 million prize. Three tickets (FL, NY, OK) matched all five white balls and increased the $1 million prize to $2 million by including the Power Play® option for an additional $1 per play. There were also 134 tickets nationwide that won a $50,000 prize, and another 23 tickets that won a $150,000 prize.
