Park visitors will find “Picnic in the Park” signs that allow them to scan a QR code which directs them to the MoCo Eats website.

Nearby restaurants will populate based on location, users can then contact the restaurant directly by visiting their website or calling to place an order. Designated delivery zones allow visitors to meet the driver. Physical distancing circles will be available at selected parks.


Urban Butcher has decided to “hit the pause button” according to a social media post made earlier today. The Downtown Silver Spring restaurant opened in 2013 and featured house-aged beef and craft charcuterie. When asked if this means the restaurant is permanently closing, Urban Butcher responded with “No, it means unfortunately we are closed for the time being, but we will keep you guys updated. Please keep supporting us by stopping by at El Sapo, where we have a wonderful outdoor space and delicious Mojitos. Thank you!”

Buena Vida in Silver Spring closing, TTT in its place

Mexican sit-down restaurant Buena Vida in downtown Silver Spring is closing. The restaurant will be taken over by Tacos, Tortas, and Tequilla, a fast-casual eatery located in the same building. Both restaurants are owned by Street Guys Hospitality.
