Celebrate the season with pianist, composer, and arranger Roberto Villeda, whose vibrant blend of jazz, bossa nova, Afro‑Latin, neo‑soul, and classical influences brings fresh energy to holiday favorites. Born in Guatemala and based in the Washington, D.C. area, Villeda’s intuitive musicianship and cross‑genre fluency create a sound that is both deeply expressive and unmistakably his own.
A Peabody Institute Master of Music graduate, Villeda has become a rising voice in the region’s jazz scene, performing at top venues including An Die Musik LIVE, Jojo’s, Keystone Korner, and the National Portrait Gallery. His early musical journey—from church organist to classically trained vocalist to jazz pianist—adds depth and soul to every performance.
Joined by top regional musicians, Villeda delivers a holiday concert filled with warm harmonies, spirited improvisation, and imaginative arrangements that blend tradition with contemporary style. This festive evening offers a joyful, genre‑rich celebration perfect for the holiday season.
