The Aging Advantage is a free educational community panel designed for adults 55+, along with friends, family members, and care partners who want to stay independent, informed, and in control as they age. The event brings together trusted local professionals to provide practical guidance on planning ahead—whether attendees see themselves as proactive planners or believe they’re “doing just fine” for now.
Participants will learn how to make smart Medicare and insurance decisions, protect their home and personal wishes, understand care options before a crisis arises, and find ways to pay for care at lower rates. The program also highlights strategies for safely staying at home longer and using local resources, such as Villages, to maintain independence and peace of mind.
Hosted by Wesley SecureCare, an aging-in-place program, the panel emphasizes making confident decisions today to support the life you want tomorrow. The event takes place on May 15, 2026, from 10 AM to 2 PM at Goshen United Methodist Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Admission is free, but advance registration is required.
