Zinnia announced Wednesday that they will now be requiring proof of vaccination (either physical card or photo of card must be shown before entering) in order to dine inside the restaurant.

Zinnia, which had its grand opening on October 1st, is located at 9201 Colesville Rd in Silver Spring, the former site of Mrs. K’s Tollhouse.

Education

Per the State of Maryland:

ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today announced that the State of Maryland has conducted more than 1 million free COVID-19 tests for Maryland students and staff since the beginning of the academic year, as part of the statewide K-12 testing program aimed at keeping schools safe and open.


MoCo

During Wednesday’s COVID-19 media briefing, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Earl Stoddard said that the county has drafted language for a “vaccine passport” that is currently being reviewed and will then be provided to the County Council for their consideration. The County Council, acting as the Board of Health, will have to approve  the regulation.

The proposed language includes restaurants, movie theaters, entertainment venues, and gyms.

Detectives from the MCPD Major Crimes Division, Homicide Section have arrested and charged two juveniles and an 18-year-old with first degree murder, armed robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery, following the death of a 33-year-old in Bethesda
