Olney Grill – Olney
The Olney Grill is offering Kentucky Bourbon, Key Lime, Cinnamon Apple, and Pumpkin Pecan Crumb this year. All pies $18 and 9”. Orders may be placed by calling 301-570-0202 and pies can be picked up Tuesday or Wednesday before Thanksgiving.


Cupcakes Lounge -Germantown
A staple in the community for over a decade at local Farmers Markets.  In addition to traditional Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, Pecan and Honey Crisp Apple, Cupcakes Lounge is offering a “Best of Thanksgiving Pie” this year that’s a sweet & spice combination of sweet potato & pumpkin, topped and baked with Pecan Crumble Streusel! Classic Bakery- Gaithersburg & Tyson, VA
Classic Bakery has some amazing offerings this year. All of their pies are all available to pre-order online for pickup/delivery via their website.


Butler’s Orchard- Germantown
You can’t have a list about Moco pies without mentioning Butler’s. This year they have Apple, Dutch Apple, No Sugar Apple, Blueberry, Cherry, No Sugar Cherry, Peach, Pecan, Pumpkin, Strawberry Mango, Strawberry Rhubarb. Click  here for information on their bakery.


Fresh Baguette – Bethesda / Rockville
One of the best French Bakeries in the DMV is now available through Moco Delivery. You can order Apple Dutch & Pecan Pies at www.mocodelivery.com to be delivered on November 21st. Reserve online before they’re sold out! Pay after delivery.

Best Thanksgiving Pies in MoCo

It’s not too early to start shopping for your Thanksgiving desserts. Many shops sell out in advance so it’s a smart move to place a pre-order whenever the option is available.

Here are a few local bakeries to consider so you’re not stuck waiting in line at Costco for a generic Pumpkin Pie.


Sunflower Bakery – Rockville / N. Bethesda
Sunflower Bakery is staffed by young adults with learning differences with the goal of helping them obtain a career in the food industry. This year they are partnering with the Maryland Multicultural Youth Center and Rainbow Community Development Center to donate pies to families in need this Thanksgiving. Deadline for orders is Friday November 20th at noon.

 


Beiler’s / Lancaster Dutch Market – Germantown
In the week leading up to Thanksgiving, Beiler’s sells over 3,000 Pumpkin and Pecan Pies. Sweet Potato, Apple Walnut, Cherry, Blueberry and Coconut Crème are just a few of the other options that are available.  They carry a variety of different desserts as well, like Pumpkin Rolls and their famous doughnuts.


Dangerously Delicious Pie – Olney Farmers Market / Delivery
Dangerously Delicious Pies have been a staple at the Olney Farmers Market for years. They offer traditional Pumpkin and Pecan, as well as savory meat pies, quiches, and some not-so-traditional pies.
They’re known for their Baltimore Bomb, a chocolate pie made with Berger cookies. Find them at the farmers market or order through their Pie Valet delivery service.


Sweetz by Sam –Delivery in Potomac, Bethesda, Rockville, Gaithersburg and Olney
Samantha runs a successful sweets business out of her home in Montgomery County. Follow her on Instagram @sweetsammd to order your pies with free delivery. She has tradition Thanksgiving pies as well as an assortment of cakes and bars.


Gardenia’s Café – Gaithersburg
This cute family run café off of Snouffer School Rd. is offering vegan pies this season. Their vegan Pumpkin and Vegan Granny Smith Apples can both be made gluten free! Orders can be emailed: [email protected] by November 23rd at 5pm.
