New Rock Creek Trail Bridge Above Silver Creek

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation’s Division of Transportation Engineering has installed a new bridge for Rock Creek Trail crossing Silver Creek, along Beach Drive just East of the Kensington Parkway intersection.
The new trail bridge will remain closed for approximately three weeks while railing installation and paving is completed.
The bridge installation is part of the Rock Creek Trail Realignment, which is part of the total replacement of the Beach Drive bridge over Silver Creek.
For the Beach Drive work, Beach Drive between Kensington Parkway and Old Spring Road will be closed from August 30 through early June 2022.
