Bethesda Barnes & Noble Has Closed PERMANENTLY, Anthropologie and Amazon Books Coming Soon.

The Bethesda Barnes & Noble location was expected to close by the end of 2017. It lasted an extra 11 days. They shut their doors permanently when the store closed on Thursday, January 11th.

It will be replaced by Anthropologie, a clothing store that sells boho-chic womenswear, shoes, accessories, wedding attire, and home decor. Anthropologie plans to open this Fall.

Amazon Books should capitalize on the absence of Barnes & Noble when they open their Bethesda Row store this summer. Robert Dyer (www.bethesdarow.com) reports that they’re already hiring.
