Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream to Open Second Location in Bethesda

Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream will open its second local shop in Bethesda’s Wildwood Shopping Center in late summer.

The 1,100-square-foot store, featuring small batch, locally sourced ice cream made with all-natural ingredients, will be located between Le Pain Quotidien and Wildwood Family Cleaners.

Sarah’s Wildwood location will bring the iconic elements of the original store: extensive rotating flavors, ice cream handmade on site, and nostalgic candies.  The menu of rotating flavors features classic fan-favorites such as Simply Vanilla, Mint Chocolate Chip and Really Strawberry, as well as Sarah’s unique flavors including Cherry Blossom Festival, Root Beer No Float, Lavender Honey, Key West Key Lime Pie, Lemon Poppyseed, and Chunky Cookies n’ Dough. Patrons can also find candy-inspired flavors such as Cotton Candy and Mmm&M, Sorbet, and Teas and Alcohol-infused flavors. Sarah’s also caters to the growing vegan customer base with Vegan Chocolate Oreo, Vegan Mint Chip, and Vegan Matcha Green Tea.

“Our handmade ice cream brings people together and we want our shops to be community gathering places,” said Sarah’s founder, Sarah Park. “We have loved the community we built on River Road in Bethesda, and we are excited to expand to Wildwood.”

The store hours will be 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., daily once the store opens in late summer. Customers can expect to be allowed to step three feet into the store to order and pay. Sneeze guards will be in place to protect both employees and customers.
