UPDATE: We were told other places with bowling alleys, like Pinstripes in Pike & Rose, also had to shut down their bowling facilities (not close completely unless they were just a bowling alley).
White Oak Bowling Lanes has been a staple in Montgomery County since opening in 1959.
Like many other businesses, they were forced to close due to Covid, and remained closed got three months prior to reopening on June 19th.
Yesterday, after being open again for nearly 6 weeks, the 24 lane duckling bowling center posted the following message on its Facebook page:
“Hi Everyone,
Even though we did everything in our power to make people feel safe and no positives tests came back from our establishment, the county is forcing us to shut down again. We will keep you posted as updates become available but apparently the county wants to see another business close permanently.
Thank you and sorry everyone…”
