Construction Update at Lidl in Montgomery Village

Construction is underway at the site of the upcoming Lidl at the Professional Center site that was on Montgomery Village and Centerway, across from the Montgomery Village shopping center.

Previous plans to demolish every building in the center were shared with the community months ago. Lidl has demolished every building that is currently in the Professional Center to make room for the new grocery store and parking lot, which will have over 150 parking spots available.

A March 2021 opening is expected.

Lidl also has plans to open locations in Glenmont, in the old Shoppers space, and Takoma Park (6881 New Hampshire Ave.). Both are also expected to open in the first half of 2021.
