Notes from Governor Hogan’s 12/15 Press Conference
Dr. Jinlene Chan provides an update on vaccination distribution plans.
Every hospital will receive initial doses in next 2 weeks. Nursing home vaccinations will begin within that timeframe also.
Limited initial distribution of 155k doses. Will go directly to hospitals from federal government.
Currently at the top of phased approach (1A)
Vaccine has been approved for use in those 16+
Trials for children, pregnant women, etc. are underway.
Side effects to expect: soreness at injection site, fatigue, headache
First responders will get vaccinated by doses set aside for them.
A dashboard that keeps track of vaccinations will be launched publicly.
