Planta, a New Upscale Plant Based Restaurant, is Coming to Bethesda

Planta, an upscale plant-based restaurant featuring a menu by Chef David Lee, will be coming 491 Elm St in Bethesda (formerly Cafe Deluxe.)

Cafe Deluxe closed permanently back in March of last year.

Planta was founded in 2016 and currently has several locations in both Florida and Toronto, Canada.

Menu items include Avocade Lime Ceviche, Ahi Watermelon Sushi, Baja Mushroom Tacos, Poki Bowls and a selection and burgers, wraps and pastas.

Planta states the restaurant’s vision is “to celebrate innovative cuisine in a beautiful environment without the use of any animal products.”

News of Planta’s Bethesda location was first reported by Bethesda Beat.
