Spectrum Town Center Update

Spectrum Town Center Update

“Coming Soon” signage is up at the Spectrum Town Center in Gaithersburg for several new businesses. We spoke today with a representative from Spectrum for an update about the restaurants listed:

Starbucks has begun construction on the new MoCo location, though it is not expected to open until the fall. Late last year Starbuck’s built a new standalone location in Gaithersburg in the Kentlands that features a drive thru. There are also plans for a new Starbuck’s later this year in the Montgomery Village Center.

Ela Mesa, a full service Greek restaurant, is still listed as having a spring opening, though no date has been confirmed. From the restaurant:
Ela Mesa, which means “come in” in Greek, aims to revive the richness of the Greek gastronomy, restoring Greek cuisine to its original Mediterranean values, based more on olive oil, seafood, vegetables, herbs, and fine foods. They plan to use modern cooking technologies and fresh ingredients, that will  transform traditional Greek dishes into gourmet creations with a modern twist.

Royal Farms has yet to begin construction on it’s first Montgomery County location. There is no time frame currently on when it will open. The only thing we can report is that it will be located right before the new 270 exit. Royal Farms is famous for their fried chicken and made to order fast food.

Royal Farms opened its first store in Baltimore in 1959 and currently has over 200 locations in the Mid-Atlantic.
