Starbucks is Coming to Montgomery Village
With the opening of the Aldi in Montgomery Village, many people have been asking what other businesses are coming to the newly renovated shopping center.
Earlier this week during a community meeting with developers it was announced that Starbucks will be opening a new shop in the Village Center. The opening date or specific location within the shopping center has not been confirmed.
Also, back in September we told you that Little Island Kitchen, a new Jamaican restaurant, will be opening its first location in the center (now open).
Construction is almost complete on the extension of Centerway Rd. that will run through the shopping center and connect to Watkins Mill Rd. The Watkins Mill 270 exit opened in June.
Across Montgomery Village Avenue, the buildings at the site of the former MV Professional Center have been completely demolished and removed to make way for the construction of Lidl.
The German grocer will be directly across from the brand new Aldi, another German grocery chain. Both discount supermarkets are making a fast expansion here in the US. Lidl plans to open in the first half of 2021.
We’ll have an update on the developments at the Montgomery Village Golf Course in the days ahead.

Starbucks is okay, but another discount grocery store right across from Aldi, why. I went in to Aldi, bought two things I needed. I will not be going back, since I didn’t like the set up or the products they sold. Their prices are not that good and they don’t even give you a bag to carry your purchase out.
Aldie Food prices are great, and they are very busy since their customers have been getting grocerys at Big Lots and Dollar Store because Giant left that center. ,where are cheaper prices ? Lidl is really great ,they have stores in VA. I love shopping at Lidl,
I absolutely love that Starbucks is coming to Montgomery Village. It would be nice if we had even more people pleasing businesses come as well like planet fitness and chik fil a.
