Registration Now Open for 46th Annual Rockville 10K/5K


Per the City of Rockville:
The 46th annual Rockville 10K/5K is registering runners until Nov. 3. The oldest continuing foot race in Montgomery County — which includes a 1-mile fun run for kids — will take place the morning of Sunday, Nov. 7.

The kids 1-mile fun run begins at 8:10 a.m. The 10K starts at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K at 8:45 a.m. Runners should arrive before 8 a.m., at which time streets leading to the race will be closed to ensure a prompt start.

Registration costs $35 online or by mail-in through Friday, Nov. 5, and $45 for in-person or online registration after that.

The course travels along Redland Boulevard (west of Grand Champion Drive), Gaither Road and Piccard and West Gude drives. For more information, a course map and to register, visit www.rockville10k5k.com.

The City of Rockville, in partnership with the Montgomery County Road Runners Club (MCRRC), welcomes all to participate in this autumn  running tradition. Back for its 46th year, the Rockville 10k/5k runs along the streets of the King Farm community on a scenic and challenging, yet rewarding, course. It is an ideal venue to cap off your summer/fall training and kick off the upcoming winter running season. Runners of all abilities are welcome (15:00 min/mile pace enforced to re-open roads to the public in a timely manner – runners falling behind this pace will be moved onto the sidewalk). Walkers are encouraged to participate in the5k distance due to the road closure time restrictions.

Race Day Schedule – Sunday, November 7th:
7:30 AM  :  Race Day Bib & Shirt Pick-up / Race Day Registration ($45.00)
8:15 AM  :  Kids’ One-Mile Fun Run (registration opens October 1st – $12.00)
8:30 AM  :  10k start
8:45 AM  :  5k start
(Road Closures go into effect at 8:00 AM)

*** No Strollers or Pets of Any Kind Are Permitted on the Course For Any of the Race Distances. Runners Will Be Pulled From Course If Seen Running With Either – No Refund Given. ***

COVID-19 INFORMATION

While masks are not currently required outdoors, we do ask all participants to be sensitive to those around you whose comfort level or health situation may be different than yours, especially with our younger volunteers or others who may not have the ability to be vaccinated.  As a condition of our race permit, social distancing is STILL required.  We strongly encourage all participants to keep a mask with you for use any time proper social distancing cannot be achieved.

Now more than ever, please pay close attention to your health prior to attending this event.  If you have been exposed to COVID-19, or another person with COVID-19, please stay home. If you have cold symptoms, a mild fever, or “just don’t feel well,” we ask that you please stay home.  All participants are subject to temperature checks by our race staff, if applicable.
