Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 1stDistrict Investigative Section are investigating the January 20, 2022 burglary that occurred in Rockville. Investigators are releasing surveillance photos of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.
On January 20 at approximately 6 a.m., 1stDistrict officers responded to the 6300 block of Montrose Road for the report of an alarm.
Investigation revealed that on January 20 at approximately 4:55 a.m., an unknown male suspect gained entry into the B’nai Israel Congregation by breaking the front door. The suspect then continued into an office space rented by a commercial establishment, where he stole property. The suspect fled the scene with the stolen property in a white Transit or Sprinter-style van.
The suspect is described as a White male, wearing glasses, a yarmulke, black Adidas pants with white stripes, a light-colored scarf hanging on his left side, a long black rain jacket and New Balance sneakers.
