Takoma Park: Barriles Restaurant and Sports Bar Replacing Mogotillo Restaurant

There will be a liquor license hearing on Thursday, March 3rd at 1pm for the premises known as Barriles Restaurant and Sports Bar.

The upcoming restaurant, located at 7637 New Hampshire Ave in the Takoma/Langley Crossroads shopping center in Takoma Park, will be taking over the spot formerly occupied by Mogotillo- a Salvadoran and Mexican restaurant that occupied the space for nearly a decade.

Barriles Restaurant and Sports Bar shares the name with a New York family owned restaurant that offers Latin & American fusion cuisine. We reached out to both New York establishments who told us they do not believe the Takoma Park location is affiliated.

We will update this story with additional information once we receive it.
