The St. James, a sports, performance training, wellness and entertainment brand, today announced that it will open its second Performance Club in Downtown, Bethesda in the winter of 2022. It will be moving in to 6828 Wisconsin Ave., the location that was previously home to Washington Sports Clubs until it closed in the summer of 2020. The St. James Bethesda Performance Club will extend the brand’s “Train Like an Athlete” experience first introduced at the Springfield Flagship Complex in fall 2018 and earlier this year at Reston Town Center.
The Bethesda Performance Club will feature 40,000 sq. ft of high-performance training space, premium studios for its proprietary group fitness training classes, a Courted Recovery Studio featuring infrared sauna and cold plunge contrast therapy, red light therapy, IV infusion, compression boots and more. The Bethesda Performance Club will also feature a Vim & Victor Café, with nutritious options that suit both your taste buds and your training regimen. The Performance Club experience features The St. James’s Build/Burn/Recover Training Methodology with both in-person and digital training programs, curated workouts, classes, recovery services and nutrition inspired by the experiences available to professional athletes.
“With The St. James Performance Club, we are bringing to everyone the kind of training environment and expertise previously reserved for elite athletes,” said Craig Dixon, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of The St. James. “We believe that everyone is an athlete. The St. James Performance Club allows everyone to train like one, with the resources, environment and coaching to help you build strength, endurance and confidence, burn fat and recover like an athlete.”
The St. James Bethesda Performance Club will open in downtown Bethesda in Winter 2022. Prospective members of The St. James can choose membership options that include the Performance Club, the Flagship, or All Access. Current members will have the option to add the Bethesda Performance Club to their existing plan, providing more flexibility between work week and weekend fitness needs. Local businesses can also purchase a corporate wellness membership as an added perk to their benefits program.
