Skate Night Event Tonight in Olney

Per Montgomery Parks:
There’s no reason to be bored when you have your board.
Perfect your tricks and catch some air at Skate Night. Open to skaters of all abilities, the free event series will be scattered around the Montgomery Park system and each event will have a live DJ, food trucks and a giveaway — giving you a tour of the great skate parks in the area.

Mark your calendar with these dates:

• Friday, June 10,  6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Olney Manor Recreational Park (skate park area), featuring pros Shreddie Mercury and Deja Brown
  • Food Truck: Clayboys Shave Ice
• Friday, June 17,  6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Woodside Urban Park (skate park area), featuring pros Shreddie Mercury and Pia Sacluso
  • Food Truck: Traditional Authentic Mexican Food Truck
• Friday, June 24, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Takoma Piney Branch Local Park (skate park area), featuring pros Shreddie Mercury and Amanda Finn
  • Food Truck: Steeze Burger
• Friday, July 8, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Olney Manor Recreational Park (skate park area)
  • Food Truck: Dizzy Cow Pizzeria

And, calling all women skaters! While open to everyone, the July 8 event will be a celebration of women on wheels and will have three professional women skaters and one professional men’s skater answering questions and performing demos on common tricks.

Whether you’ve been on wheels for years or recently picked it up, you won’t want to miss these chances to skate and mingle.
