Maryland Beer, Wine, & Spirits Festival Returns to Montgomery County Saturday, July 9

Grow & Fortify’s Maryland Beer, Wine, & Spirits Festival returns to the Montgomery County Agricultural Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 9. Attendees may browse artisans, dine with food trucks and sample an excellent selection of Maryland craft beer, wine, spirits, cider and mead. This event is a consumer experience presenting the three pillars of the state’s craft alcohol industry in one venue.

“We’re fortunate to work closely with Maryland’s craft alcohol producers,” said Abby Casarella, the director of events at Grow & Fortify. “Our organization can present the industry and these delicious products in a way that uniquely focuses on the producer.”

The Maryland Beer, Wine, & Spirits Festival showcases dozens of local beverage producers while offering visitors an opportunity to sip and learn about Maryland’s craft alcohol producers. Additionally, guests may purchase canned and bottled products to-go from participating vendors. The Maryland Distillers Guild will be on-site selling two exclusive spirits created in collaboration with local distilleries. These bottles are available for off-premise consumption.

“This festival brings local residents and visitors together to celebrate local small businesses,” said Jim Bauckman, the director of communications at Grow & Fortify. “These businesses add tremendous value to the communities in which they operate. Highlighting them all as part of a statewide story is awesome.”

Admission to the festival is available at two tiers. VIP Passes are limited and on sale for $60 in advance. VIP attendees receive 12:00 pm admission to the event and are encouraged to enjoy the event before crowding. General Admission Passes are available for $45 in advance and include 1:00 pm entry.

All tasting passes include beer, wine, and spirits samples and access to vendors and live music. SoulTet, a jazz, soul and R&B outfit, will perform at noon, followed by Rays of Violet, a Grateful Dead tribute band, at 2:30 pm. Owners and makers from attending breweries, wineries, and distilleries will guide tastings and educate attendees.

The Montgomery County Agricultural Fairgrounds is the perfect venue for this event. This venue allows Grow & Fortify to highlight the ties between the agriculture and craft beverage industry. Many of Maryland’s beverage alcohol producers rely on locally grown ingredients to craft products in their portfolios. Event parking and entry are located at 501 Perry Parkway, Gaithersburg, MD 20877.

Grow & Fortify is proud to partner with the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair for the Maryland Beer, Wine, & Spirits Festival. Passes for the Maryland Beer, Wine, & Spirits Festival are on sale via Eventbrite. Details about the event, including the entire list of event vendors, can be found at https://growandfortify.com.
