Monument Innovation Center, a new ground-up, state-of-the-art life science building located off I-270 in Gaithersburg, broke ground last week. The 135,000-square-foot, 4-story life science development is developed by Monument Realty, a full-service real estate firm and market leader in the Washington, D.C. region. The Monument Innovation Center will be located at 735 Watkins Mill Rd., near Kaiser Permanente and the Spectrum Town Center.
Monument Innovation Center will feature modern interior and exterior finishes and is purposefully designed to meet the standard and requirements for life science facilities, with high ceilings, enhanced electrical capacity and increased loading capacity on the tenant floors, and state-of-the-art mechanical and ventilation systems.
Monument has controlled the property since 2003 when the company purchased the property along with the nearby IBM building. The IBM building was sold back about a year later, Monument Innovation Center is slated to deliver in mid-2023.
