Per the Maryland Lottery:
A 33-year-old truck driver from Montgomery County made a pit stop on Saturday as he was finishing work and hauled away a huge Racetrax win.
It was a good thing he did, because the horses galloped across the finish line in that order yielding a $27,163 win. He didn’t realize his win until later in the day at home.
“When I scanned the ticket, it said ‘Congratulations,’” he shared with Lottery officials. “I didn’t expect that at all.”
The lucky player was not sure what to do next so he went online to find out how to claim a big Lottery prize. While at Lottery headquarters to claim his prize, the happy winner reported he was still in shock. He has no current plans for his prize.
Also celebrating this lucky win is Travel Centers of America, located at 7401 Assateague Drive in Jessup. The Lottery retailer will receive a bonus of $271.63 from the Lottery for selling a winning Racetrax ticket worth $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1% of the prize.
